Meet the Storytellers:
The Plants and Lands of Elceti
Elceti is a world made of seven distinct lands
Heat Peaks. Blossom Meadows. Foragers Fen. Spore Woods. Orchard Grove. Market Garden Hills. Herb Keepers Heath.
Each territory carries the ecology, the native roots, and the deep human history of the character who lives there.
These plants have been around long enough to have opinions. Every plant is shaped by the cultures that grew them, centuries of human relationship, the botany and science that explain them, and the folklore and stories that refused to let them be forgotten.
What you'll find here are characters whose quirks, fears, and warmth are rooted in ethnobotany.
All plants and lands are illustrated by Aleksandar Radović

Where the world opens wide and everything that blooms does so in full view. Blossom Meadows is Elceti's most open and light-filled land — a realm of rolling wildflower meadows, coastal clifftops, alpine slopes, and sun-warmed lands, wherever in the world wildflowers have claimed the open ground and made it their own.
Chamomile from Blossom Meadows is gentle in the way that takes real strength — the kind that keeps showing up, even when everyone else is frayed. She carries old comfort traditions like a well-worn apron: practical care, quiet rituals, and the ability to make a room feel safer. In Elceti, she’s the one who notices who’s overwhelmed before they do.

Market Garden Hills is Elceti's most cultivated and industrious land — a realm of allotments and field systems, terraced plots and river-fed valleys, kitchen gardens and ancient growing grounds, wherever in the world humans and plants have entered into the oldest and most practical of partnerships.Where the earth is worked with purpose and everything grown here has a reason to exist

Market Garden Hills home to Garlic who acts like he doesn’t care what anyone thinks, but he cares too much — that’s the problem. He’s a threshold-keeper with sharp humour and sharper instincts, shaped by old protection lore and the long history of being used to ward off harm. In the community, he’s the one who checks the locks, calls out bad behaviour, and then pretends he didn’t do it for you.

Herb Keepers Heath is Elceti's most purposeful and quietly powerful land — a realm of sun-warmed scrubland and rocky hillsides, monastery gardens and wild coastal heath, wherever in the world herbs have embedded themselves into the daily life, memory, and medicine of the people around them.Where knowledge is kept in the leaves and nothing useful is ever forgotten.

Herb Keepers Heath is where Rosemary speaks like an old librarian with a steady gaze and a soft voice that still expects good manners. She keeps the community’s stories pressed like leaves between pages, names, promises, grief, courage — and she’s quietly fierce about what deserves to be remembered. In Elceti, she’s the quiet authority: the person who remembers what was promised, and makes sure it still matters

Where the forest thinks, and everything is connected beneath the surface. Spore Woods is Elceti's most ancient and layered land — a realm of old-growth forest, mossy woodland floors, and the vast hidden networks that run beneath them, wherever in the world fungi and forest have grown together long enough to become something neither could be alone.

Lion’s Mane is SporeWoods eccentric woodland professor: kind, odd, and always halfway inside a metaphor. He appears most fully when the year turns inward, teaching in slow sentences that make you feel clever rather than small. In Elceti, he’s the quiet classroom: the place you go when you’re ready to listen and look within

Heat Peaks is Elceti's most varied and intense land — a realm that holds tropical forest canopies and monsoon-drenched hillsides, arid sun-baked plains and humid river valleys, wherever in the world the conditions run hot and the plants that grow there carry that fire inside them. A land of fire in the roots and heat in the air — where the world's most powerful flavours are born.

Heat Peaks is home to Black Peppers understated power: a quiet presence that changes the whole room once he’s there. He carries trade-route history in his bones — the long journey from precious rarity to everyday staple — and it makes him both proud and a little wary of being overlooked. In Elceti, he’s the friend who doesn’t talk much, but always says the exact right thing.

Nettle is the protector of Foragers Fen and messy edges: hedgerows, footpaths, places people forget — and she doesn’t let you blunder through life half-awake. Her culture is working-hands culture: mending, foraging, making something useful out of what others call weeds. She’ll feed you, patch you up, and sting you in the same afternoon, depending on what you need.
