A book series where plant personalities are sharing their folklore and science, connecting you to the world of plants

Elceti invites you in,
through wonder, through science, through story , through culture

Every word written is from the plants themselves.

What if plants could write you a letter?

Once a season, seven plants sit down to write you a letter. As the year unfolds from spring to summer, autumn to winter, their voices reveal the secrets of their growth cycles, cultural histories, folklore and science, while their friendships, conflicts and shared stories uncover the relationships that connect plants to one another, and to us.

The plants behind the letters

Lion’s Mane is an eccentric woodland professor: kind, odd, and always halfway inside a metaphor. He appears most fully when the year turns inward, teaching in slow sentences that make you feel clever rather than small. In Elceti, he’s the quiet classroom: the place you go when you’re ready to listen and look within

Coconut moves like an island elder: unhurried, observant, and impossible to rush. He’s resourceful in a way that feels ancient, not mystical, just practiced, shaped by survival cultures where every part of a thing must be useful. When trouble hits Elceti, he’s already got water, food, rope, and a plan, and he’ll hand it over like it’s nothing.

Rosemary speaks like an old librarian with a steady gaze and a soft voice that still expects good manners. She keeps the community’s stories pressed like leaves between pages, names, promises, grief, courage, and she’s quietly fierce about what deserves to be remembered. In Elceti, she’s the quiet authority: the person who remembers what was promised, and makes sure it still matters
